Teaching with Primary Sources

LogoTeaching with Primary Sources is a federally-funded program facilitated by Milner Library.The goal of this full-day workshop, presented in partnership with CTLT, is to support and enhance instruction through the integration of primary sources from the Library of Congress. Participants will be introduced to various forms of digital primary resources including documents, maps, sheet music, sound recordings, early motion pictures, and photos. The basics of navigating the various components and features of the Library of Congress web site will be covered.

Workshop Information

  • Eligible participants will receive $100 stipends for this workshop. Reminder: To conserve our resources, each faculty member is limited to five stipends over the course of the summer.
  • This workshop will be held in the ITDC Building (301 S. Main St.)
  • It runs from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Morning snacks and lunch will be provided. Enjoy the company of your colleagues from across campus while you eat. 

Eligibility and Application Information

All tenured, tenure-track, and full-time non-tenure track faculty and staff with teaching responsibilities are eligible to register and to receive stipends. Part-time NTT instructors and graduate students are eligible to register and will be admitted as space allows, but they are not eligible for stipends.
